Unlike most agencies who only deliver one or two types of links, I believe in a multipronged approach to link building which enables me to deliver faster and more consistent results. This is why for every client of mine I use multiple outreach types:
1. Skyscraper/content promotion: This is the cornerstone of my outreach. For sites that are informational in nature or that are doing content marketing which entails producing skyscraper content, infographics or anything link worthy, I offer promotion of those posts, via skyscraper, resource links, broken link building, infographic outreach. For this, I will create a personalized outreach list and personalized emails in order to get a maximum response rate and free links.
2. Guest post: What outreach would be without guest post? On top of the skyscraper outreach, I include a guest posting campaign targeting niche related sites. This is also my main approach if the client’s site doesn’t have any content assets. Most importantly when doing a guest post campaign I will arrange for competent writers to write guest posts and the costs of creating the guest posts IS included.
3. HARO: In order to get journalist and press mentions, I rely on this approach. While powerful, this comes with some limitation, mainly links will only go to the homepage and the client needs to be an established business with some C-level executives that have some social clout, so this option is not open to all.
4. Relationship Link building: Thanks to years of outreach, I was fortunate to establish great connections with editors of some of the most powerful SAAS/business sites such as envato.com DR 91, Visme.com DR84, Hunter.io DR 80 etc and I offer them exclusively to my clients if there is a good fit (for no additional surcharge).
These are links that cannot be bought. Thanks to these approaches, I can get the most relevant and highest authority links for my clients extremely quickly.
I've been in the SEO business for 15 years...When I first got started the hardest part was the feeling that I was completely alone. I knew what was working for me and my clients at the time, but I knew I needed a way to leverage the experience of the people who have stood where I stood.
Well, now that I'm finally in a place where I can help, that's exactly what I've chosen to do with The Blueprint Community. I hope to see you inside.
