Building an SEO proposal with the Proposal Builder
Turn a lead's discovery call, search data and crawl into a finished SEO, Local and GEO proposal, then edit it and send it.
The Proposal Builder turns what you learned on the discovery call into a proposal. It reads the lead's call notes next to your search data, local scans and site crawl, then builds the deck for you to review. Most proposals are ready in about five minutes.
Before you start
- The lead is in your Pipeline, ideally with its discovery call attached. See Adding call recordings and notes to a lead.
- Ahrefs or Semrush is connected, and Local Falcon if you want local data. See Integrations and API keys.
- Optional: a Screaming Frog crawl of the prospect's site.
1. Start the proposal
Open the Proposal Builder, pick the lead and tick SEO. See Starting a proposal.
2. Add the inputs
Under Before you build the deck, each input turns on a slide. None is required, but a slide is cheaper to add now than to notice missing later.
- Call notes. They come in from the lead. You can also paste your own.
- Search data. Keywords, rankings, backlinks, traffic history, competitors and AI citations, pulled from Ahrefs or Semrush. Click Pull.
- Local visibility. Unlocks the map-grid and competitor slides. Connect Local Falcon to pull a scan you've already run, or upload an export from another tracker.
- Website crawl. Unlocks the funnel slide. Pull it from the sitemap or upload a Screaming Frog export.
- Price. The monthly price you're proposing.
Rows marked one-time agency setup are saved to your agency and carry over to every proposal.
3. Check the context
Confirm what the builder knows about the prospect and fill in anything the data missed. Then move to the outline.
4. Pick the angle and build
The builder suggests angles for the executive summary. Pick the one that fits this prospect, review the outline, then build the deck.
5. Review and send
Go through it slide by slide before you present it. If you change an input, like the price, rebuild it. To change the content or make it your own template, see Editing a proposal with Claude.
When you send it, the lead moves to Proposal Sent with the proposal on the lead record.
